Welcome to Spiritual Formation​

At First Baptist Church Denbigh, the Spiritual Formation Ministry helps individuals grow in faith, prayer, and community. This ministry focuses on nurturing a deeper relationship with God and one another, helping believers mature spiritually while living out their faith in practical, everyday ways.

We believe transformation begins with connection, to God, to His Word, and to His people. Spiritual Formation provides that space of growth through prayer, mentorship, and fellowship, guiding each person toward a life that reflects Christ’s love and purpose.

We grow stronger together in prayer and community.

The Spiritual Formation Ministry includes several sub-ministries that serve the church family at every stage of life:

  • Intercessory Prayer Ministry – lifting up the church, community, and world in consistent, faith-filled prayer.
  • Prayer Call Ministry – uniting members virtually each week for prayer, encouragement, and shared devotion.
  • Men’s Ministry – equipping men to lead their families, workplaces, and communities with integrity and faith.
  • Women’s Ministry – inspiring women to grow in Christ, build supportive relationships, and serve others with grace.
  • Seniors Ministry (Mary J. Tillerson) – celebrating the wisdom of our senior members through fellowship and encouragement.
  • Couples Ministry – strengthening marriages with biblical teaching, open conversations, and shared experiences.
  • Singles Ministry (Future) – creating a welcoming space for single adults to grow in purpose and connection.

Together, these ministries form the heart of spiritual growth at FBCD. Through intentional prayer, study, and fellowship, members experience transformation that extends beyond Sunday worship into daily living.

The Spiritual Formation Ministry invites you to take part in a journey of renewal, where prayer, discipleship, and community come together to build a stronger faith and a united church family.

A Christ-centered, multi-generational service with congregational singing, Scripture reading, practical Bible teaching, and prayer. You’ll find a welcoming atmosphere, simple ways to connect, and time to meet others before and after the service.

Friendly hosts will assist you in finding parking, answer any questions you may have, and direct you to your seating area. Families can check their children into age-appropriate ministries. A Welcome Desk provides info about groups, serving, and upcoming events.

Just yourself. If you own a Bible, bring it; if not, we provide Scripture on screens and in print. Parents might bring any essentials their children need during childcare or kids’ classes.

Wear what’s comfortable. You’ll see everything from jeans to business attire. Our focus is on worshiping Jesus together, not matching a style. Come as you are; we’re glad you’re here.

Yes. We offer accessible entrances and seating, assistance as needed, and a secure kids check-in process. Trained volunteers and clear policies help create a safe, welcoming environment for all ages.
