Welcome to Christian Education

At First Baptist Church Denbigh, the Community Engagement & Outreach Ministry is where faith meets action. We believe that serving others is a vital part of following Christ, and through this ministry, we extend His love beyond our walls to meet real needs in our neighborhoods and beyond.

This ministry brings together teams dedicated to compassionate service, practical help, and spiritual care. Whether it’s feeding the hungry, visiting the incarcerated, or supporting health and wellness, each act of service is an opportunity to share hope and build lasting relationships in the community.

We are called to be the hands and feet of Jesus.

Our Christian Education programs provide structured opportunities for growth and spiritual maturity:

  • Bible Institute: offering in-depth study of God’s Word for serious learners.
  • Church School: teaching biblical principles in age-appropriate classes for children, youth, and adults.
  • New Disciples Class: guiding new members in understanding faith, baptism, and church life.
  • Vacation Bible School: engaging children and families in summer learning through creative teaching and activities.
  • Teachers’ Academy Team: equipping teachers with training and resources to effectively share the Gospel.

Each program is designed to help believers not only know the Word of God but also live it out daily. By providing Christ-centered education, we ensure that every generation is prepared to grow in faith, serve the church, and witness to the world.

The Christian Education Ministry invites you to join us in learning, teaching, and growing together, building a community where God’s Word shapes lives and strengthens discipleship.

A Christ-centered, multi-generational service with congregational singing, Scripture reading, practical Bible teaching, and prayer. You’ll find a welcoming atmosphere, simple ways to connect, and time to meet others before and after the service.

Friendly hosts will assist you in finding parking, answer any questions you may have, and direct you to your seating area. Families can check their children into age-appropriate ministries. A Welcome Desk provides info about groups, serving, and upcoming events.

Just yourself. If you own a Bible, bring it; if not, we provide Scripture on screens and in print. Parents might bring any essentials their children need during childcare or kids’ classes.

Wear what’s comfortable. You’ll see everything from jeans to business attire. Our focus is on worshiping Jesus together, not matching a style. Come as you are; we’re glad you’re here.

Yes. We offer accessible entrances and seating, assistance as needed, and a secure kids check-in process. Trained volunteers and clear policies help create a safe, welcoming environment for all ages.

Visit the Welcome Desk after service, talk with a pastor or usher, or use our contact form. We’ll help you get connected through groups, serving opportunities, and upcoming events.
