The Reverend Doctor Earl C. Johnson, a native of South Boston, Virginia, is a socially active preacher with more than 35 years of ministerial experience, including 25 years in the pastorate and over fifteen years of corporate and organizational management experience.
His journey has taken him from the military to leading congregations in the mountains of Virginia to the urban centers of the Northeast, to the valley and slopes of Pennsylvania, to the “City of Oaks” Raleigh North Carolina. He has been an educator at the middle school, high school, community college and university levels off and on over a period of thirty-three years.
Dr. Earl C. Johnson is a noted author of four books. He is a former Journalist and stringer for such newspapers as the Wall Street Journal, The Afro American Newspapers, The Richmond Times Dispatch and numerous magazines and professional articles. He has been quoted for political and social commentary on NPR, The Washington Post, the GRIO, The News and Observer, The NY Times, CNN and other major outlets.
Rev. Johnson earned a doctorate degree from New Brunswick theological Seminary at Rutgers University, the nation’s oldest seminary. As well as a Master of Divinity (M.Div) and a B.A. degree in Journalism from Virginia Union University. He is a John Maxwell Independent Certified Trainer in coaching, leadership development, mentorship and an excellent motivational speaker. With twenty-five years as a former pastor he founded The Dream Center to assist those who desire personal development.
Rev. Dr. Earl C. Johnson resides in Raleigh, NC with his wife Mrs.Ophelia Johnson and their two daughters.
